We have been hot foil printing and embossing specialists since 1981 which means our team here at Foil Blocking Ltd have masses of industry experience.
Based in Nottingham we have spent decades investing in both our staff and facilities to create our state-of the-art workshop with the most comprehensive range of hot foiling equipment in the UK.
The environment is important to us and we were one of the first companies in the UK to receive Zero Foil 2 Landfill accreditation.
Not only do we provide high levels of ISO 9001 quality and service, we also hold the ISO 14001 environmental accreditations.

Our Facilities
We have an extensive range of large format and small format machinery across all of the Foil Blocking Ltd sites.
Our state-of-the-art machinery includes platens/flat beds with production speeds of up to 7,000 sheets per hour. Suitable for heavier papers up to heavy boards. They achieve fine detail foiling and a deep and crisp emboss.
Our cylinder machine has production sheets of up to 2,000 sheets per hour and is suitable for lightweight paper up to mid-weight boards as well as book cloth and other unusual materials. They achieve very fine detail foiling and large coverage, solid foil areas.
With our smaller Heidelberg GTP platen the die mounts on the heated plate. Then the substrate feeds into the underside of the plate using a gripper arm. The foil impression remains on the paper or board as the foil passes over the die.
